Orange's Décodeur Home Cinéma, offered with the Livebox Max, runs Android TV and has a built-in soundbar. The app controls it over Wi-Fi, just like the Livebox set-top box.
Connect it
- Make sure the iPhone and the Décodeur Home Cinéma are on the same Wi-Fi network, your Livebox's, and that the box is on.
- On first launch, when asked « How do you watch TV? », pick « With the Décodeur Home Cinéma ».
- When iOS asks, allow access to the local network.
- Select the box in the list.
- A code shows on the TV: enter it in the app.
The box is then remembered: the app reconnects to it by itself on the next launches. The app is already set up for another device? Open the device selector, at the top of the remote, and pick the Décodeur Home Cinéma.
What you can do
- Every key of the remote: navigation, volume, playback.
- Change channels with the number pad.
- Open Orange TV and your favourite apps from the remote.
- Talk to Google Assistant and type text with the iPhone's keyboard.
The code does not show
- On the box, open the Android TV settings, then Apps.
- Open « Android TV Remote Service » and choose « Clear data ».
- Scan again in the app and select the box once more.
Netflix mode only concerns the classic Livebox set-top box: it does not show with the Décodeur Home Cinéma, where the OK button works normally.
